Tanah Mympi
Tanah Mympi is a private island resort off Indonesia, the kind of place booked out entirely for weddings, honeymoons, and corporate retreats, no other guests, no compromises. Their accommodation is modular: bungalows that can be physically reconfigured around the island into custom packages, something almost no booking platform is built to handle. With average bookings around $10k, the percentage fees charged by third-party booking software were eating meaningfully into revenue too. Tanah Mympi needed a system built entirely around how their business actually works, so Jaffle built one from scratch.
What we built.
Tanah Mympi didn't fit into a template. No booking platform on the market handles physically reconfigurable rooms, and none of them let a client keep the full value of any high-value bookings instead of losing a slice to processing fees. So we didn't try to make one fit. We built the system around how the island actually operates: modular packages, direct Stripe payments, and a backend built for a small team to run the whole operation themselves. The website carries the same restraint, built to feel exclusive rather than busy, because a destination this rare doesn't need convincing, it needs a website that gets out of the way.
Twelve weeks after kickoff, Tanah Mympi launched with a website and booking system built entirely around their business, not the other way around. The island booked out for the next six months straight off launch, and the team now saves an average of 15% on booking processing fees they'd otherwise be handing to a third-party platform.
